How to stencil on fabric with freezer paper and other materials - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2021 · 18. January 2021
Using stencils to paint my stuff was pretty much the first thing I did to turn my regular clothes into unique punk pieces. I don't count the marker-on-T-shirt scribble, and I have tutorials for bleach in other posts. Although I now have the option of screen printing, I still like to use stencils. In principle, it's straightforward - you cut out the motif, put the stencil on the fabric and start painting. I've tried many materials and techniques and would like to introduce them to you here.

Re-dyed and repaired cardigan - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2021 · 11. January 2021
You might remember the garish dyed cardigan that I made more than a year ago. I didn't wear it as much as I'd liked because the bright tie-dye-look often clashed with the rest of my outfit. There was also a problem at the shoulder seams that needed to be fixed. I am living in this cosy cardigan at the moment, and I'll show you what I did to make it perfect.

What and how I've been doing - Part 2 Lockdown - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2020 · 26. August 2020
I'm back with the second part of my retrospect of the last months. In June, I was able to return to work at the university with reduced time. It was good to be back and getting things done again, but still having some free time, being based on 5-hour-shifts in the mornings or afternoons. I kept doing my creative projects, decluttering the house, and some gaming.

7 common mistakes when bleaching jeans - Domestos Jeans Tutorial - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2020 · 26. January 2020
This is one of my most popular blog posts in German from a while back and I thought you might like my DIY tips on bleaching as well. I have often experimented with bleach, be it with a spray bottle or a homemade bleaching gel. Today I get to the basics with bleaching a domestos jeans the classic way. "Mistake" may be a little over the top for some points, but there are a few things that can go wrong. So if you haven't dared yet or just need a few tips, this is for you:

New stencil print zipper pouches - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2019 · 04. December 2019
You did't hear from me in a while. I had to take a pause from weekly blogging and also from social media. I was so busy preparing for the markets in October that I was a bit exhausted (and also a bit sad that the selling wasn't so successful as I thought it would be). But I created a lot of new things during that time that will make it into the shop bit by bit. Today, I'd like to tell you about the new zipper pouches.

How Inktober 2019 went so far - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2019 · 24. October 2019
I'm trying to do Inktober for the first time this year. Maybe you've heard of it, if not: it's doing a drawing in ink every day in October, usually with a prompt. I wasn't very inspired by the official prompt list, so I looked for others - and there are sooo many! I couldn't settle on a single one and picked a few autumn / Halloween / goth / botanical - themed ones (all mentioned below). Because this is such an international thing, this post is in English only.

Wow, schon 5 Jahre!

Zebra-Shibori Experiment - Pole-wrapping Batik Zebramuster färben - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2018 · 03. September 2018
