I've done a few pattern testings by now, but this is my first design sewing. Sara from MetalMotte has new unique designs in her fabric shop (shipping across the EU) a few times a month and asked me to be part of her sewing crew - how could I say no? I got a Medusa panel for free - 150 x 150 cm of cotton stretch jersey that is a breeze to work with. Now, I'm thrilled to have made something for myself again.

I made myself a new dress! I've wanted to sew a hoodie dress for winter for a while now, but I hadn't found the right inspiration. Now, this one doesn't have a hood, but it's my new favourite nonetheless. The fabric is so soft, the cut is flattering, and the grey matches almost everything. I don't have many works in progress pictures this time - it's just too dark most of the day.

Back in 2010, I had a collection based on some punk T-shirts that I turned into skirts, tops, pants and other things - look at the collage below! It was punk as fuck, and that's what I named it. I felt a strong pull to my roots recently when I re-discovered not one but two boxes full of band shirts that I collected for these kinds of pieces. I pulled out the first few and let my creativity run wild. I present you: Punk as Fuck Recharged!

I know, it took way too long for these to hit the shop. I would love to create extensive collections and bring them out at once with a cool lookbook and everything. But this is still a side hustle, and only I end up holding creations back because I think they're not ready. So I went ahead with making product photos, and now all three items with the moon phases are finally available, plus a new (old) vest.

This was intended to be two separate posts, but it's almost Halloween (eeek!) and I wanted to show you everything before. I did two markets in October, so I didn't have the time to do a Halloween DIY like usual. But I did a workshop with Skullduggery Ceramics earlier this month for some Halloween all-year decorations that are finished now. Today I'd like to tell you a also bit about the markets and show you the nice stuff I found.

Heute möchte ich euch von der Ethical Fashion Show in York berichten, meiner ersten Modenschau überhaupt. Wie der Name schon sagt standen verschiedenste Aspekte der Nachhaltigkeit und Umweltfreundlichkeit im Mittelpunkt. Hier geht es um das erste von zwei Outfits. Das Model ist Dani, eine Freundin die ich auch vom Roller Derby kenne. Zustande gekommen ist das, weil ich an Silvester die Mitorganisatorin Anna (von/mit Banshee Vintage) kennen gelernt habe. Am ersten September war ich wieder mit einem Stand auf dem Black Rose Bazaar in York. Neben den Röcken hatte ich einiges an neuen Klamotten dabei, inklusive der Endzeitsachen. Heute möchte ich euch aber mal zeigen welche tollen handgemachten Sachen ich mir dort gekauft habe. Ich liebe ja diese Kreativität und das Einzigartige, also habe ich mir von 5 Verkäuferinnen etwas Schönes mitgenommen - verrate aber nur 4, da eins ein Geschenk werden soll.

Ich habe mir ein Kleid genäht. Das mache ich selten, den ich trag sie irgendwie nicht oft. Ich weiß gar nicht so genau warum. Naja, diesen Sommer wird das vielleicht anders und es soll auf jeden Fall Kleider im Shop geben. Dafür habe ich - vor ein paar Wochen schon - an einem neuen Schnitt getüftelt und brauchte noch einen Prototyp. Dieses Wochenende war es erstaunlich sommerlich und ich außerdem in der Laune etwas für mich zu nähen.

Kurz nachdem ich nach England gezogen bin und bevor ich meine ganzen Sachen (und Nähmaschinen) nachgeholt habe, bekam ich einen Auftrag bei dem ich nicht nein sagen konnte. Es ging um ein Outfit für's Amphi Festival zum Thema Steampunk und Endzeit - genau das was bei meiner nächsten Kollektion im Mittelpunkt steht. (Später auch mehr dazu, warum die so lange auf sich warten lässt.) Ohne genau zu wissen wie ich kurze Zeit später wohnen werde habe ich zugesagt - und es wurde spannend!

Ich hab mir gestern ein Kleid genäht. Es ist aus der aktuellen Burda (12/14 Modell 121) - hier Nr. 5 - und gefiel mir direkt auf den zweiten Blick. Denn ich muß mir die Sachen meistens mit einem anderen Stoff vorstellen, in diesem Fall ein schöner Jersey mit Zebramuster. Ich hab nicht viele Kleider, davon ist nur eins selbst genäht und mit langen Ärmeln ist noch keins dabei gewesen. Bis gestern Abend hab ich nicht gewusst, was ich heute bloggen soll. Bin heute nicht so in der Laune viel zu...
