Sock Pumpkins in a different way - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion
2022 · 31. October 2022
Happy Halloween! I know it's been a while again, but I didn't want to miss my yearly Halloween DIY post. This is a super quick project, you still might want to make one now. A few weeks ago, I found a tutorial for sock pumpkins that was inspired by another DIY blog post. You know I like to do things differently, and with materials I already have, so here's my version of sock pumpkins - goth/punk style!

Medusa Dress - MetalMotte design sewing - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion
2022 · 22. August 2022
I've done a few pattern testings by now, but this is my first design sewing. Sara from MetalMotte has new unique designs in her fabric shop (shipping across the EU) a few times a month and asked me to be part of her sewing crew - how could I say no? I got a Medusa panel for free - 150 x 150 cm of cotton stretch jersey that is a breeze to work with. Now, I'm thrilled to have made something for myself again.

My new Rosehip Dress for the winter - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion
2022 · 10. January 2022
I made myself a new dress! I've wanted to sew a hoodie dress for winter for a while now, but I hadn't found the right inspiration. Now, this one doesn't have a hood, but it's my new favourite nonetheless. The fabric is so soft, the cut is flattering, and the grey matches almost everything. I don't have many works in progress pictures this time - it's just too dark most of the day.

Halloween DIYs Part 2 - paper garland, candle holder and cross-stitch towel - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion
2021 · 12. October 2021
As promised, here is the second part of the Halloween DIY projects from the last years now translated. There is a printable garland if you're into paper crafts or prefer something quick and easy. When you don't mind getting your hands dirty, try modelling a horror-themed candle holder. If you have more time and like needlework, be inspired by the cross-stitch towel project.

Halloween DIYs Part 1 - candles, spiderwebs and bats- Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion
2021 · 15. September 2021
I know it's only September for some, but others are already in full Halloween mode. I'm somewhere in between and have started decorating and thinking about projects. I'm not sure if I will finish any in time for the blog, but I have published so many popular DIY tutorials over the years - it's time for a translation. This is the first part, including candles, a giant spiderweb and cinnamon bats.

How to sew a pencil wrap - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion
2021 · 02. August 2021
I always loved coloured pencils, so making this to carry one of my favourite art tools everywhere is a bit like a childhood dream. I got back to them just a little while ago when I started with a colouring book and used them for my own art. A wrap like this can be used for many different kinds of pens and pencils, as well as for brushes and other art supplies.

100 days of pattern design - or not - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion Blog
2021 · 17. May 2021
This is the second blog post about my 100-day project. I started it at the beginning of 2021 and wrote about it halfway through - about what it is and what I did. I chose pattern design as topic because I have been designing fabrics for a while now, and I love sewing unique products with them. I wanted to expand my portfolio and carry out all the ideas I had in my head. It was partly successful and partly not.

Update on the not-so-white-anymore punk vest - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion
2021 · 10. May 2021
In case you don't follow my blog for some years, a summary of the white vest story first: I discovered a white vest in 2017 along with some UK bands after moving here. I collected patches from local bands and added them shortly after. A year later, I reconstructed the collar and started to add studs. I didn't wear it often because it's still a bit bright for my eyes.

A crochet blanket the Zebraspider way - punk / goth living - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion Blog
2021 · 12. April 2021
My biggest crochet project ever! I started making a large blanket that is coming along slowly, but I did have some problems with my right hand in between. I've been reading the blog Attic24 for a while. I always adored the colourful blankets and got inspired to make my own. They're lovely colours to look at, but not for my home as you could guess. Of course, I'm doing things my way.

5 Unusual things that look better with patches - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion Blog
2021 · 15. March 2021
We all know battle vests/jackets and crust pants, but if you like collecting patches as much as I do, you'll eventually run out of space - and jackets. There are so many other things that look great with patches, too. In this blog post, I have compiled 5 ideas were to put all the printed pieces of fabric with band names, logos, political messages or just decorative motifs.
